Key Responsibilities
1. Database Management
- Take ownership of the centralized database, ensuring its smooth operation, security, and reliability.
- Implement and enforce data governance policies to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
2. Data Handling and Cleaning
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets to prepare them for analysis.
- Identify and rectify data quality issues, ensuring data is accurate and reliable.
3. Data Analysis
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
- Utilize statistical methods to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
4. Data Sorting and Collation
- Organize and categorize data efficiently, enabling easy retrieval and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and optimize database structures.
5. Reporting
- Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate key metrics and insights to stakeholders.
- Develop automated reporting solutions to streamline data delivery processes.
6. Excel Proficiency
- Demonstrate proficiency in MS Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions and formulas for efficient data processing.
7. Collaboration
- Work closely with other data analysts, data scientists, and IT teams to ensure data consistency and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with end-users to understand their reporting needs and provide timely and accurate data support
8. Continuous Improvement
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in data management and analysis.
- Propose and implement improvements to existing data processes and workflows.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven 4+ years experience as a Data Analyst with a focus on centralized database management.
- Proficient in Ms Excel and experience with relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for data manipulation and analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
